Our vision

Vioneo are fossil-free pioneers for the plastics industry - using green methanol to produce fossil-free polypropylene and polyethylene at a commercial scale

Vioneo has designed a production method which will utilise well proven technologies in an innovative way. This will ensure that its plastics are produced without any fossil feedstock. In addition, the production facilities will be powered by renewable energy, eliminating CO2 emissions from production.

The name Vioneo evokes the company’s commitment to embark on the journey to defossilise and decarbonise the materials and chemicals sector. In Latin, “vio” means “journey” or “way” and “neo” means “new”. The ”o” in “neo” also symbolises “zero”. This means the name translates to “new way” or “the journey to net zero”.

This is what we do

1

Saves up to 6 kg of CO2 per kg of plastic

2

Drop-in quality polypropylene and polyethylene, both easily recyclable

3

Fully segregated and traceable PE and PP, using non-food feedstock - green methanol

4

All technologies proven at scale

The issue we’re here to solve

Plastics are key building blocks of modern society, indispensable in many of our modern products: from food packaging that helps avoid food waste and lighter car parts that make vehicles more fuel-efficient, to medical equipment that helps save lives.

A team with deep chemical, polymers and energy expertise

“Vioneo wants to drive the transition of the plastics industry by demonstrating that fossil-free plastics can be made at full industrial scale.”
